Whether you are reading scripture, leading others in prayer, adorning the altar, or serving at the worship service, our worship is possible because of our team working together, each giving their gifts to the glory of God. Our ministries include opportunities for service, fellowship, and formation.
The Liturgy (the “peoples’ work”) — specific rituals spoken and sung in a service — binds all of us together. It leads us to know more fully the Divine, and teaches us how to live as loved children of God. We meet Christ in the face of all persons; indeed, the gathered worshiping community is the living Body of Christ.
Serving as a musician for the Liturgy is a double gift. First, we share with the praying assembly our “first fruits”, the best of what God has given us, our musical talents. In return, God blesses us through that gathered community — the Body of Christ — as the Spirit of God enables us to be servant ministers. In unique, transcendent ways, the ministry of music animates communal prayer, lifting those same thoughts and prayers to God.
If you are interested in music at Grace, please contact Andrew Fredel, our Minister of Music.
Serving others is one of God’s great calls to us. When we walk side-by-side with those from another experience, we live out our prayer to respect the dignity of every human being. When you are ready to take a step in a journey of faith, we have the opportunity for you.
